Memberships Coordinator Summary
The Memberships Specialist is responsible for supporting BRITE’s membership activities across all programs and services, with approximately 70% focus on startup members and 30% focus on network members. The role focuses on providing onboarding, engagement, database management, and light event support to ensure a positive experience for all members. Extensive on-the-job training and process support will be provided; however, we are seeking a candidate whose strengths — including strong organization, communication, and comfort with technology and data systems — naturally align with the demands of the role. Our goal is to invest in your development while enabling you to quickly grow into an independent, trusted team member.

LOCATION: HYBRID - Our organization is headquartered in Warren, OH. This role will be based out of our Cleveland office with 2 days a week in the office expected.

Duties of the Position:
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Member Support and Onboarding (60%)
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective startup members.
- Facilitate onboarding for startup and network members, including account setup, managing agreements, and welcoming new members.
- Maintain regular engagement with all members through onboarding calls, emails, and check-ins.
- Participate in internal deal flow meetings and assist with initial screenings.
- Conduct outreach activities as needed to engage new startup prospects and represent BRITE at local events.
Database Management and Reporting (30%)
- Maintain accurate membership records for both startup and network members in BRITE’s custom CRM system (Notion).
- Update member status, engagement progress, and milestone tracking
- Generate membership reports and dashboards to support program decision-making.
Team Coordination and Event Support (10%)
- Coordinate with the Events Specialist to assist with assigned logistics such as RSVPs and attendance tracking.
- Support communications and invitations for monthly webinars and BRITE events.
- Attendance at assigned BRITE events is mandatory; may also attend external ecosystem events as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills
- Comfort with technology, including Microsoft Suite, CRM, and databases
- Enthusiasm for startups, innovation, and continuous learning
- Experience in outreach, membership management, or community building
- Bachelor’s in Business, Communication, Innovation, or a related field (preferred)
- Based in Ohio or willing to travel in-state for events and meetings (preferred)
- Strong balance of "people skills" and "database wizardry"
- Organized, self-driven, and proactive problem solver
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, startup-like environment
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $44,000 - $50,000 (based on years of experience and qualifications)
