Summary
The Fundraising and Events Specialist will hold a dual-role. They will coordinate and execute end-to-end logistics for BRITE’s quarterly BRITEnite events across the state and one annual summit. This role will be responsible for securing and managing sponsorships for BRITEnites and supporting broader sponsorship efforts for the Summit. The role requires exceptional project management, organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate across departments to ensure successful and timely event outcomes and sponsor engagement.

Summary
The Fundraising and Events Specialist will hold a dual-role. They will coordinate and execute end-to-end logistics for BRITE’s quarterly BRITEnite events across the state and one annual summit. This role will be responsible for securing and managing sponsorships for BRITEnites and supporting broader sponsorship efforts for the Summit. The role requires exceptional project management, organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate across departments to ensure successful and timely event outcomes and sponsor engagement.
Responsibilities
Event Coordination and Logistics (60%)
- Manage event logistics for BRITE’s quarterly BRITEnite series across Ohio and the annual Advanced Energy Ohio Summit.
- Plan, coordinate, and attend events, ensuring smooth running of every event.
- Track and ensure event milestones and deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
- Lead sponsorship efforts for BRITEnites, ensuring packages and event tickets are sold and delivered per the sponsorship prospectus.
- Support Summit sponsorship sales and activation.
- Manage and ensure sponsor deliverables are implemented according to the sponsorship level, i.e. including signage, acknowledgements, and post-event recognition for each sponsor.
- Monitor event registrations and ensure targeted attendee outreach.
- Coordinate with internal leads (startup, corporate, venture) to ensure the right stakeholders are prioritized and engaged.
- Achieve full sponsorship coverage for all BRITEnites and the Advanced Energy Ohio Summit.
- Secure lead sponsorships for each event component (Happy Hour, Startup Pitch, VIP Dinner).
- Ensure strong attendance from targeted ecosystem stakeholders.
- Seamlessly execute all events ensuring sponsor satisfaction and positive attendee experience.
- 2+ years of experience in event coordination, fundraising support, or related roles.
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and coordinate across departments without direct authority.
- Demonstrated proficiency managing work and relationships in CRM and project management platforms (e.g., Notion, Asana, or equivalent systems); technology fluency is a core requirement.
- Hyper-organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Collaborative team player with a strong sense of ownership.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and travel requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest and willingness to learn about the start-up ecosystem, energy and advanced manufacturing and industry a plus
- Salary: $58,000 – $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
